Week 14 - Conclusion

As a conclusion , there are few recommendations for future work on development of eddy current as sensor to detect metal crack. There is some point that need to be improve and upgrade incase the simulation work perfectly as a mention above.   Additional research needs to be done on different types of metals which will make the simulation be more perfected which can change depends on materials use. Since there some flaws with my project, which I can’t detect the value of current with or without crack. Maybe there are need some research with COMSOL Multiphysics or need to add more study which consist of frequency domain and coil geometry analysis. When the simulation is perfected, then we can move to the next step which hardware implementation.  To meet the specification of what industry needed, hardware implementation needs to be done with accurate data result with while testing to inspect the metal flaws or any metal crack that occur on most industrial sector. Week 12-Finalize work

On this last week , I complete the modelling drawing and do some simulation about magnetic vector potential which will put in the report.This is to potray the image of magnetic flux against the eddy current in the simulation.                                  Figure 1:Magnetic Vector Potential                                                 Figure 2:The power dissipation of plate with no crack. The redline on plate is shown that the heat trap on plate which resulted crack will happen due to heat trap.
